JOB SUMMARY:
The Healthy Living Worker (HLW) is a supporting position under the direct supervision of the Healthy Living Coordinator, with over accountability to the Director of Well Being. This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, development and coordination of recreational and sporting events for the Cowessess First Nation and its membership. The HLW is responsible to ensure that all Cowessess Athletes are involved in any events, practices and learning skills that any First Nations are hosting such as: Winter/Summer Games and North American
Indigenous Games (NAIG) by planning and coordinating of the required events. This position will ensure that all recreational needs of the Community are being met. The HLW will assist in
budgeting, processing and purchasing and anything else required by the Healthy Living Coordinator and Director of Well Being and any other duties assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Knowledge of Saskatchewan regulations, First Nation sports programs, and related processes is considered an asset.
Experience or knowledge in proposal writing is considered an asset.
Knowledge of scheduling, event coordination, and event planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Willingness to participate in training and professional development as required.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the Community and its members.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Working knowledge of standard office equipment and technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, Community members, and youth.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle.
Current First Aid/ CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with a reputation for being dependable, punctual, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
