✅ Planting & Maintenance Checklist

1. Check underground utilities before planting.
2. Choose a sunny spot, away from driveways or building foundations (aim for 50 ft).
3. Space trees at least 8–12 ft apart.
4. Dig a wide, deep hole, loosen soil at edges.
5. Plant and mulch, leave some space around the trunk.
6. Water regularly until established.
7. Prune lightly in late winter/spring to shape.
8. Monitor and remove suckers around the base—pull by hand or cover with mulch/landscape fabric.
