Furnace Filter Notice
FURNACE FILTERS
Be honest — when was the last time you replaced your furnace filter? If your answer is, “It’s been a while,” or “I’m not sure,” then it’s time to change it right now.
Regularly replacing your furnace filter is one of the easiest ways to keep your home comfortable, your air clean, and your heating system running efficiently. More specifically, a clean air filter helps maintain optimal airflow, reduces energy costs, and protects your furnace from unnecessary wear and tear.
This creates issues with and damage to the furnace that can easily be prevented by changing the filter. Ensuring that a filter is present and changing the filters when appropriate are the responsibility of every tenant on Cowessess First Nation.
Going forward, if it is found that a furnace is being neglected with a dirty/clogged filter, or no filter installed, then any damages or repairs needed will be the responsibility of the Tenant and will be added to the rent in arrears.
With a reminder that arrears must be actively being paid for services to the unit. Services such as any non-emergent maintenance, considerations for renovations, road clearing, garbage pickup, water services, etc.
